ABOUT THE COUPLE
How they met: The couple met in AP World History class in their junior year of high school. They began dating the summer after freshman year in college.
How he proposed: The couple was in Las Vegas for Amanda's work, but the future groom had other plans. He intended to propose after a romantic dinner, on top of the Eifle Tower observatory deck at the Paris hotel, but it was raining and the elevator was closed. It was still drizzling the next day, so he settled for the Empire State Building replica on the highest point they could reach without an elevator pass code, the 39th floor. From that hallway, with a romantic night time view of the city, he asked her to be his bride.
