Brittney Blersch and Kevin Ruth, both of Ashburn, Va., announced their engagement. She is the daughter of Robert and Sandra Blersch of Oconomowoc. He is the son of Jeffrey and Barbara Ruth of Burlington.

The future bride attended Oconomowoc High School and attends the University of Wisconsin-Madison, pursuing a bachelor of science degree in communicative disorders. She is employed at YMCA of Metropolitan Washington, Leesburg, Va.

Her fiance attended Central High School in Salem and attends UW-Madison, pursuing a bachelor of science degree in history. He is employed at Verizon Wireless, Reston, Va.

They plan to be married on July 7.

The couple plan to reside in Ashburn.
