Courtney Stateler and Nicholas Althaus, both of Homewood, Ill., announced their engagement. She is the daughter of Michael Stateler and Teresa Stateler of Clinton, Ind. He is the son of Richard Althaus of LaCrescent, Minn., and Rose Giannini of Kenosha.
The future bride graduated from South Vermillion High School in Clinton and Purdue University in Indiana, receiving a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. She is employed as a veterinarian at Forest South Animal Hospital in University Park, Ill.
Her fiance graduated from LaCrescent High School in Minnesota and Lincoln Technical Institute in Chicago, receiving a degree in automotive technology. He is employed at Merlin Muffler, Country Club Hills, Ill.
They plan to be married on May 16.
The couple plan to reside in Homewood.
