Packard-Shewmake

Christy Lynn Packard of Acton, Calif., and Thomas Julius Shewmake of Culver City, Calif., have announced their engagement. She is the daughter of Stanley and Charlene Packard of Acton, Calif. He is the son of Orville Shewmake of Kenosha and Shelly Shewmake (Kathy Kurtz) of Kenosha.

The future bride graduated from Patterns in Excellence High School in Acton and California State University-Northridge. She is employed by The Signal Newspaper in Santa Clarita, Calif.

Her fiance graduated from Indian Trail Academy and the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. He is employed by TrueCar.com in Santa Monica.

They plan to be married on June 1.
