Amy Atchison of Elk Grove Village, Ill., and Shawn McCarville of Kenosha were happily married on Saturday, May 28, 2016, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church. The Rev. William Dietzler officiated the 1 p.m. ceremony. She is the daughter of Pam Atchison of Dwight, Ill., and the granddaughter of the late Caruso "Ric" and Virginia Riccolo of Dwight, Ill. He is the son of Charlotte McCarville of Kenosha and the late Michael "Mickey" McCarville.
Jamie Atchison was her identical twin sister's maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Katy Dixon, a friend of the couple who set them up on a blind date two years ago (guess it worked out), Holli Thoren, friend of the bride, and Karen Rozzoni, sister of the groom.
Bill Dixon, friend of the groom, was the best man. The groomsmen were brothers of the groom Michael McCarville and Peter McCarville, and Dave Dixon, friend of the groom. Dave Bordo and Andy Rozzoni were the ushers.
The ring bearer was Thomas Thoren, friend of the bride.
A 4 p.m. reception was held at The Kemper Center, Simmons Auditorium. Along with their cherished families and friends, the couple celebrated their blessed union with a great party that included awesome food, cocktails, a caricature artist, popcorn bar, and amazing tunes until midnight.
The bride is a graduate of Dwight Township High School and Illinois State University, Normal, Ill. She is employed at Aon Corp., Lincolnshire, Ill.
The groom graduated from Bradford High School. He is employed at MPT Polishing in Kenosha.
After honeymooning in Lake Geneva, the couple reside in Kenosha.
